In Samastipur, a tragic accident occurred on Saturday in the Singhia police station area, where a young boy went missing while bathing in the Kareh River at Rajghat.
According to reports, the child was bathing in the river when he accidentally moved into deeper water and drowned. Despite immediate rescue attempts by people present at the spot, the boy could not be saved.
The missing child has been identified as Mohammad Aamir, a 10-year-old boy and son of Mohammad Saleem, a resident of Barra village under the Kusheshwarsthan police station area.
As soon as the information reached the family, chaos and grief spread among the relatives.
Police Reach Spot, Search Operation Underway
After receiving the information, police officials including Subhash Yadav and Edison Kumar from Singhia police station arrived at the scene with their team. A search operation has been initiated with the help of local boats.
Considering the seriousness of the situation, the State Disaster Response Force has also been informed. The search operation is expected to intensify further once the SDRF team reaches the location.
Following the incident, a wave of shock and sorrow has gripped the entire area. Local residents and family members remain gathered near the river, hoping for the child to be found.
