A tragic incident has been reported from Bihar.
In Rajghat, under the Singhia police station area, the SDRF team has recovered the body of a minor boy from the Kareh River after nearly two hours of continuous effort.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Aamir, a 12-year-old boy and son of Mohammad Saleem, a resident of Barra village.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday when Aamir had gone to bathe in the Kareh River. During this time, he accidentally moved into deeper water and drowned.
After receiving information, the SDRF team reached the spot and, following an intensive search operation, successfully retrieved the body from the river.
Following the recovery, police officials including Assistant Station House Officer Jyoti Kumari and Subhash Yadav arrived at the scene with their team. The body was taken into custody and sent to Sadar Hospital, Samastipur for post-mortem examination.
Police have begun an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, local villagers and family members have demanded financial assistance for the victim’s family.
